I usually choose a topic I want to draw for my personal book and don't worry too much about how the book will be published afterward, so the journey to find a publisher for this book was quite circuitous. I went through a long process to get it published. I conceived the idea around 2016, completed the script in 2017, revised the script, and finished drawing in 2021. The book made it into the top 100 unpublished books of dPICTUS, Unpublished Picturebook Showcase 4 (2022), and was exhibited in Bologna in 2023. Then in 2024, Crabit Kidbooks agreed to publish my book.

My personal books often take a long time to create and are born from memorable circumstances, carrying with them a lot of my thoughts and feelings because they are meticulously crafted. I initially intended this book as a gift for my mother, but strangely and surprisingly, the person who ultimately found the most healing through it was myself. I hope that through the little story I want to tell, anyone who has the chance to read it will find comfort and warmth in a particular situation in their life.
